Letters (1864-1865), written during Wallace's term as territorial delegate from Idaho, concern conditions there and the Federal Government's intentions for the Territory. There are also a small number of letters to Mrs. Wallace.

Correspondence, reports, speeches, notes, and other papers regarding McVety's investigation of labor problems involving the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) in North Idaho (1917) and his investigation of complaints concerning the use of Mexican labor in central and eastern Idaho (1918).
